by: Alice Hallstrom

1/4 cup soy sauce
¼ cup water
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger root
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. water
¼ cup celery, chopped
¼ cup onions, chopped
4 salmon steaks
1 lemon, sliced

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, ¼ cup water, sugar and grated ginger. Bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstach in 1 Tbsp. water and add to soy sauce mixture. Cook until thickened (it will not be very thick). Add celery and onions. Arrange salmon steaks in a baking dish; pour sauce over steaks and place lemon slices on top. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes. Baste salmon several times with sauce while baking. Serve with rice.

This is a no-fail way to cook delicious fish!
